Trusts and Estates Counsel
Janene helps Sage’s clients with their estate planning needs. She is available to review existing documents and estate plans, help establish new plans, and identify ways to minimize state and federal estate tax exposure.
Janene has been practicing Trust and Estate law since 2006. Previously, she practiced at Salvo, Rogers Elinksi & Scullin and Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell & Hippel.
Janene earned her B.A. in Economics from Kings College and her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is a graduate of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of The American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel.
She lives in Conshohocken with her husband and two children. Janene serves as Board Chair for the Borough of Conshohocken Sewer Authority. She also is a member of the Conshohocken Funfest Committee and an active volunteer with the Montgomery County Special Olympics.
What inspires you about your job?
I am motivated by helping others. I find the most meaning and inspiration from being able to see how my work impacts people on a personal level. Understanding and empathizing with people is so important. The idea that I might provide a solution to a problem or provide peace of mind is what motivates me to do a good job.
What do you love most about being part of Sage?
Being part of a forward-thinking, supportive organization that realizes its clients and team members are its greatest assets is my favorite thing about Sage so far. Everyone at Sage has a client-centered focus, and it is exciting to work collaboratively with people to help make sure our clients are successful.
