Investment Management

Sage employs a strategic asset allocation investment management style. This approach serves as the foundation for a clients’ portfolio and is designed with the goal of delivering the greatest long-term returns for the least amount of acceptable risks. Strategic targets are established as long term investment weightings for the major asset classes based on an investor’s risk-return profile and the assets’ potential returns, volatility, and diversification benefits under varying economic and financial conditions.

Tactical allocation is utilized as appropriate to further reduce risk and to take advantage of compelling opportunities. Tactical allocation incorporates active decisions to overweight or underweight asset classes in the near term vs. their strategic allocation based on a) the current and projected investment and economic environment; b) risk estimates in the global capital markets; and c) other fundamental, valuation, behavioral, and technical factors.
